HauckSchuchardt Advises LBBW Immobilien on the Purchase of the ZOB (Central Bus Station) Project in Esslingen

– Current news

HauckSchuchardt has advised LBBW Immobilien on the purchase of the "ZOB" project in Esslingen from Dietz AG in Bensheim. Based on the urban design competition of 2016, the intent of this concept is to undertake new construction on the old, empty lot of the central bus station.

After acquiring the lot from the city of Esslingen, the aim of the project is to close the last large urban planning gap in downtown Esslingen with an ensemble of buildings. A large portion of the available space is planned for apartments, as well as restaurants, retail outlets and offices. The lot of Berliner Strasse 1 is a part of the acquired project, which will encompass a parking garage, a Rewe supermarket, as well as two restaurants.

Both parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential.

LBBW Immobilien was given legal advice on the transaction by the following attorneys and tax advisors from HauckSchuchardt:

Partner: Hans-Christian Hauck (Lead Attorney), Dr. Frank Soesters (Property Law), Dominik Berker (Tax Law).

The team had previously advised LBBW Immobilien on the purchase of ‘The Bohomian’ in April of this year.

Under the leadership of Thomas Reischauer, the Clifford Chance Law Firm was active in an advisory capacity to Dietz AG.
