Hemsö Purchases Nursing Home near Frankfurt for 23 Million Euros

The Swedish nursing home investor Hemsö Fastighets has acquired a nursing home in Heusenstamm near Frankfurt as part of a share deal. The seller is Merkur Developing Holding, the purchase price stood at 23 million euros. "Horst-Schmidt-Haus" (Herderstraße 85), constructed in 1977, has 131 beds, spread across 85 single and 46 double rooms. An extension featuring an additional 16 single rooms, twelve day-care facilities and 30 assisted-living residential units are planned. AWO Hessen-Süd is the operator of the facility. The transaction consultant for Hemsö was its strategic partner Quadoro Doric Real Estate. Through the acquisition, Hemsö has expanded its portfolio to 40 properties throughout Germany.
