HauckSchuchardt Advises Dawonia on the Acquisition of 181 Rental Apartments in Ludwigshafen

HauckSchuchardt has advised the Munich company Dawonia (formerly known as Gemeinnützige Bayerische Wohnungsgesellschaft, GBW) in all legal matters in the purchase of a large property on Ludwigshafen’s Rheinufer. The company purchased the 181 independently financed, prospective new build rental apartments from the Diringer & Scheidel group. The acquisition is Dawonia’s first investment in the Rhein-Neckar region.

The major development project on the Rheinallee will be realised on the 5. building section of the urban quarter and began in June 2018. Apartments with a total living area of 16,000 m² are planned as well as five commercial units and 266 underground parking and 362 bicycle spaces. The first apartments in the new build project, which has been named LUV, are due to be completed and ready for the first new tenants in spring 2021.

Both parties have agreed confidentiality concerning the purchase price.

In the transaction, the buyer was legally advised by lawyer and partner Dr. Stefanie Ann Krieger (property law) of HauckSchuchardt.
